Paper: Quick Start Guide
Paper is an application that allows the user to write on paper and instantly digitize the handwriting. The digitized notes can easily be imported into Sketch and Flow.
Starting and Creating a New Document
Check Pen State to get started: In order to create a new document, it’s important to check if your Hoylu Pen was successfully connected.
Menu > Pen State > Scan for Pens
Create a New Document:
Menu > New > Start writing on Paper using Hoylu
Open a Saved Document:
Menu > Open > Browse on disk > Select Document
Export and Copy & Paste a Note
Export a Document:
On the top bar, click Export > PDF
On the top bar, click Export > SVG
On the top bar, click Export > PNG
On the top bar, click Export > JPEG
On the top bar, click Export > GIF
Copy & Paste a Note in Sketch or Flow:
Copy in Paper:
Individual Note: On your screen, tap on the note you would like to copy. This will put you into Page mode. Then on the top bar, tap Copy
All Notes: If you are in Page mode, click to view all notes. Once you are in Overview mode, tap Copy to copy all notes.
Paste on Sketch:
Tap an area in the workspace to bring up the Paste menu. Paste the Note(s) into Sketch as handwriting.
Paste in Flow:
Tap an area in the workspace to bring up the Paste menu. Paste the Note(s) into Flow.

Getting More Paper for the Hoylu System
Menu > Get Paper > Select type of downloadable format
Printed Paper Icons
With the Hoylu Pen, tap on the View option where you will see your note disappear.
Make your note appear as the main note by simply tapping on the Present icon.
To display all of the Notes tap on the View All icon.
To rotate Note, simply tap on the Rotate icon.
