Answers to the most frequently asked questions for Hoylu Connected Workspaces™.
We have one HoyluWall, how do I take advantage of the other components of Hoylu Connected Workspaces™?
HoyluWall owners can easily take advantage of all the benefits of Hoylu Connected Workspaces™. Each customer should be sure to upgrade their software to the latest version of Hoylu Connected Workspaces™. For use on personal devices additional licenses may need to be purchased. Contact your Hoylu representative for any detailed support questions.
What products can the HoyluWall use? Are there any limitations on the applications I can use?
The HoyluWall is application independent. If it runs on Windows, then it will run on the HoyluWall. The only limitation has more to do with the PC’s power. More powerful PCs are available if the application you are trying to use needs more horsepower.
How do I order new Pens for my HoyluWall?
Pens can be ordered by contacting your HoyluWall reseller.
Is there an easy way to prevent the pen tips from being used on the HoyluWall screen?
We suggest using the colored pen nipples to separate the pens using ink tips versus plastic tips.
I used the pen tips, or other permanent ink, on the HoyluWall. What is the best way to clean the HoyluWall screen off?
In most cases the best thing to use is a clean rag or paper towel and ammonia free Windex. If that does not work, please try using a magic eraser.
Which Projectors are Recommended?
For the HoyluWall system we provide compact laser phosphorous ultra short throw projectors running at HD (1920×1080) resolution. It is highly recommended that if you are going to use your own projectors for the HoyluWall solution; that you use projectors that are as similar as possible.
Can I Also Use LCD-Screens Instead of Projectors?
As a simple answer, no. The Projectors provide several options that an LCD screen can not at the moment. First the projected image is able to be overlapped and thus blended together to form a single massive screen for you to use. You could get a large super wide panel screen but the cost would be prohibitive. The next issue that you have to understand is that an LCD screen does not have the high accuracy dot pattern. This means that you will lose the 680 dots per inch (DPI) resolution and need to replace it with a less accurate and, in the case of a large LCD screen, much more expensive solution.
Hoylu Connected Workspaces™ is available on touch interactive windows based panels.
